Make writing fun and enjoyable. Sign up for the “Free Yourself to Write” workshop.
Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.
– André Gide
Have you always wanted to write–a memoir, short story, blog post, or even a novel, but just can’t seem to get started? Are you afraid to begin because you don’t believe you have the ability? After hearing you talk about an experience or adventure, have friends or family members ever said, “Wow! You should write a book about that!” Are you one of those people who would write, but can’t seem to find the time? Or, maybe you don’t write because you fear criticism or judgment.
Free Yourself to Write In this workshop you will discover tips and strategies and learn tools and techniques for accessing the right side of the brain where ideas and creativity dwell. As a result, you will become a better writer, make the writing process easier and more fun, eliminate fear and judgment, and delve into the subconscious so that writing becomes effortless and fast.
Workshop Overview
The workshop begins by identifying and discussing some of the obstacles (time, negative beliefs, lack of skills and knowledge, support, etc.) that can be found on the writing path. This will be followed by techniques aimed at overcoming them, and a visualization process designed to eliminate judgment and fear—two of the biggest roadblocks. During the day you’ll also learn and practice methods for tapping into the right brain where the real freedom lies. In a series of 5-minute writing exercises, you’ll have several opportunities to try out each of the 10 tools. In the process, you’ll discover which tools take your writing to the next level. Participants can either work on their own materials, or follow a series of writing prompts. At the end of the class, there will be time to network and share your experiences.
