This month I thought it would be fun to use quotes for inspiration. Whether you agree or disagree, quotes generally make us think about a particular aspect of life—either our own circumstances or those of a character we are writing about. The point this month is to see how a particular quote affects you and how you choose to respond. As always, write for at least five minutes.

April 30 Writing Prompt: New Abilities
What skills and knowledge would enhance your life? How exactly would these abilities affect your present and future circumstances?
April 29 Writing Prompt:
Make a list of everything you fear. Pick the worst one and write your way out of the situation.
April 28 Writing Prompt: Truth and Lies
What lies do you tell yourself and others? What prevents you from speaking the truth? Write about a situation where you decide to speak your truth, say what needs to be said. Create an ideal outcome.
April 27 Writing Prompt: Introspection
Spend a few moments sitting quietly. She what comes up in your “monkey mind.” Watch your thoughts. Grab one and write about it.
April 26 Writing Prompt:
Pick an attitude you have about a person, place, or thing and write about it for the opposite point of view. For example, if you dislike your boss or neighbor, imagine a scene where your attitude has shifted and you work together on a project. Try the converse: imagine hating your lover or best friend.
